about

There seems to have been a rash of recent releases aimed at the lazy Sunday morning market. Take them all, go to your microwave, set it for two minutes and you’ve got some new artwork and a few ashtrays. Christchurch beat king The Nomad (aka Daimon Schwalger) returns with his third offering and delivers the sort of Sunday antidote pharmacists are still working on. Joined by a host of talent including the slick vocals of Antsman, guitarist Tehi Mana Kerr, some groovy bass-playing by Mark Tyler and smoky sax from fellow Salmonella Dubber Conan Wilcox. On the mix Tiki Tane has done a job worthy of Gandolf capturing the essence of Nomad’s mix of beats, scratchings and dub. This is Pacific drum’n’bass at its best. Don’t miss this weekend’s concert.
